One page, one job
Copying text from a PDF often preserves the visual line endings of the printed page. Words can split across lines, ligatures can arrive as unusual characters, and hidden spacing can make ordinary editing frustrating. CopyPrune focuses on that one workflow: paste already-selectable text, clean it carefully, inspect the recorded changes, and copy the result.
Visible restraint
The product is deliberately not presented as artificial intelligence. It uses deterministic cleanup rules and builds its proof report from the same operations that produced the result. Careful mode leaves uncertain boundaries unchanged because a visible question is safer than an invisible guess.
What we chose not to build
CopyPrune does not accept PDF files, perform OCR, recover page geometry, or promise perfect reading order. Those are different products with different failure modes and privacy expectations. Keeping the utility paste-only makes it fast, transparent, and honest.
