Why review matters

A hyphen can carry two meanings.

How do I fix words split by PDF line breaks?+

Paste copied text and choose Scan split words. Review every candidate, then copy or download the result generated from your selections.

Why are some hyphens not selected automatically?+

A line-ending hyphen can be a PDF artifact or an intentional compound. CopyPrune leaves ambiguous cases unselected because a dictionary alone cannot reliably recover the writer’s intent.

Does this remove hidden soft hyphens?+

Yes. Unicode soft hyphens found inside words appear in the review list and begin selected as high-confidence repairs.

Does it also remove ordinary line breaks?+

Only when a selected hyphen candidate spans that line ending. For general line wrapping, use the Remove Line Breaks tool or the full PDF Text Cleaner.
