Document text
The source and cleaned result are held in the page’s runtime memory while you use the tool. We do not intentionally put document text in URLs, browser storage, analytics events, server logs, crash reports, or advertising requests. Choosing Clear removes the document state held by the page. Closing or refreshing the page also ends that runtime state.
Clipboard and downloads
CopyPrune requests clipboard access only after you choose a copy action. A text download is created locally in the browser from the visible cleaned result. The tool does not upload that file.
Theme preference
If you switch themes, the preference may be stored in local browser storage. Document text is not stored with it.
Analytics choice
CopyPrune uses Google Analytics 4 only after you choose Accept analytics. Google Analytics may receive the page visited, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device information, and limited non-content actions such as mode selected, clean completed, copy clicked, or download clicked. Analytics events may include the selected mode and numeric change counts. They never include pasted text, cleaned text, filenames, excerpts, clipboard contents, or transformation contents.
Your choice is stored in local browser storage under copyprune-analytics-consent. You can reopen Analytics settings from any page and change that choice. Declining analytics prevents the Google Analytics script from loading. Revoking a previous acceptance disables analytics storage and attempts to remove CopyPrune’s Google Analytics cookies.
Ordinary website information
Hosting infrastructure necessarily receives ordinary network information such as an IP address, request time, browser identifiers, and requested path. Advertising services are not currently enabled. If enabled later, this policy and the site’s consent controls will be updated before those services are used.
No session replay
CopyPrune does not permit session-replay software on the cleaner. Product events, if enabled, are limited to non-content actions such as example loaded, clean completed, mode selected, copy clicked, download clicked, and error category.
Appropriate use
We do not claim that CopyPrune is anonymous, certified, or appropriate for regulated or confidential legal, medical, financial, or employment information. Follow the rules of the organization responsible for your document.
